I was gifted with a lovely ball of Rowan Plaid and wanting to fondle the yarn forever, decided just to make mittens out of it. Now I couldn't find a basic mitten pattern for such a large gauge, so I adapted the pattern from Ann Budd's book of Handy Patterns.
